Fun Factory is our kids work for pre-school children aged 0-5, their parents and their carers. Children are special, unique individuals, created, loved, loved and cherished by God, and we feel that it’s important that they know this form the beginning and are given the opportunity to learn about God and come to know him.
SUNDAYS 10.45AM at Glo Gen Centre
As a team we feel privileged to be able to partner with parents and support them in teaching their children and developing them in God. We provide a great service for children on a Sunday morning, in a way that tries to engage with them about different values that we live by as adults, based upon the teachings of Jesus so that they can grow in their walk just as we do, but in an environment that’s designed wholly for them. We also hold a parent and toddler group on a Thursday morning with games, toys and plenty of space and services so that mums can come and just spend time with other mums, without the worry that there children may be bored or need constant supervision, but instead can have fun, just as the children do.
THURSDAYS 10.00AM - 12.00PM & 1.00PM - 2.30PM at Glo Gen Centre
An opportunity for you to have quality time with your children, take time out for yourself and get to know other parents and carers. Every bit as a colourful as Sunday, with home and baby areas, a bouncy castle and much more. There is snack time for the children and refreshments for adults.
Over the last 3 months as a team, we’ve really been excited by what we’ve seen within Fun Factory. Parents seem to be taking more ownership over what goes on within midweek sessions which has been really encouraging as it creates more of the community we want within Fun Factory – where everyone feels they can play a part. This has also encouraged more God conversations to break through within our sessions and we’ve seen a lot of mums make the jump to coming on a Sunday from just coming on a Thursday which is amazing!
The last few months of 2010 saw a host of different events taking place within Fun Factory as we had our Christmas party, as well as our very own ‘Nearly new sale’, which encouraged mums and others to bring nearly new toys or clothes that they didn’t want and then sell and swap with other mums so that they didn’t have to buy things brand new. This was a great success and was a great morning for mums to get together and share more community with one another. In 2011 we will be continuing with our Midweek Fun Factory sessions at the Glo gen Warehouse that will be running from 10am and 1pm every Thursday, with the first on the 6th January . This is an exciting time for us as a team as the growth and change within the mums has been so encouraging to watch and will hopefully be boosted in this New Year with the launch of a Fun Factory Soul Group, for mums who struggle to find time for themselves; which will hopefully add to the community we are already seeing emerge from Fun Factory itself. |
